What the Army ACFT Calculator helps you understand

Repeat measurements under similar conditions for a more useful trend.

The Army ACFT Calculator is a comprehensive scoring tool for the Army Combat Fitness Test. The ACFT was designed to better predict battlefield physical demands compared to the legacy APFT. The six events test muscular strength (deadlift), explosive power (standing power throw), muscular endurance (hand-release push-ups), anaerobic capacity (sprint-drag-carry), core stability (plank), and aerobic endurance (2-mile run). Each event targets a different component of physical fitness, making the ACFT a more holistic assessment. The scoring tables were developed from extensive research correlating test performance with Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills. This calculator helps soldiers identify weak events and prioritize training.

Check the calculator labels before entering a value.
What are the six ACFT events?+

The six events are: 3 Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL), Standing Power Throw (SPT), Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP), Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC), Plank (PLK), and Two-Mile Run (2MR).

What equipment is needed for the ACFT?+

The ACFT requires hex bar and plates (deadlift), 10-lb medicine ball (power throw), standard running surface, 40-lb kettlebells, a 90-lb sled, and a stopwatch/timer. All equipment is government-provided for official tests.

Can I max the ACFT with 600 points?+

Yes, 600 is the maximum score (100 points per event). Achieving a 600 requires elite-level performance across all six fitness domains simultaneously, making it very rare.

What is the ACFT alternate event for soldiers with profiles?+

Soldiers with medical profiles may be authorized alternate events such as a stationary bike, swim, or row. The unit commander and medical provider determine which alternates are appropriate.
