What the Army Combat Fitness Test Calculator helps you understand

Repeat measurements under similar conditions for a more useful trend.

This Army Combat Fitness Test Calculator provides complete scoring for all six ACFT events using their official abbreviations and standards. The ACFT was specifically designed to assess fitness components directly relevant to combat: the Maximum Deadlift (MDL) tests muscular strength for lifting equipment and casualties, the Standing Power Throw (SPT) tests explosive power for throwing grenades and equipment, the Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP) tests muscular endurance for repeated exertion, the Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC) tests anaerobic capacity for battle-related movements, the Plank (PLK) tests core stability for load bearing, and the Two-Mile Run (2MR) tests aerobic endurance for sustained operations. Each event was validated through research linking performance to Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills.

Official scoring tables and policies change; validate any result with current Army guidance.

Check the calculator labels before entering a value.
What are the ACFT minimum standards per event?+

Minimum 60-point standards vary by age and gender. For example, young male soldiers need approximately 140 lbs deadlift, 4.5m power throw, 10 push-ups, 3:00 SDC, 1:30 plank, and 21:00 run as rough minimums.

How is the ACFT different from the APFT?+

The ACFT tests six fitness domains vs. the APFT's three. It adds strength (deadlift), power (throw), anaerobic fitness (SDC), and core stability (plank). It also uses hand-release push-ups instead of standard push-ups.

What is the grading scale for the ACFT?+

The ACFT uses a tiered performance category system. Soldiers must score at least 60 per event to pass. Higher performance tiers may be established for competitive purposes such as schools and promotions.

How long does the ACFT take to complete?+

A typical ACFT takes 40-60 minutes per soldier, including rest between events. Events must be performed in order (MDL, SPT, HRP, SDC, PLK, 2MR) with mandated rest periods between events.
